X-Life reality star Denise Russo died at 44 after being ‘homeless and living in her car’ in the sad final days

VH1 reality star Denise Russo, best known for her work on The X-Life, has died.

Last weekend, the X-Life star was found on the floor of a friend’s house in San Diego, according to a report from TMZ.

The cause of death is still pending, but according to TMZ, drug paraphernalia was found at the scene.

Upon arrival, first responders attempted to resuscitate the reality TV star but were unsuccessful.

The reality TV star’s friend and former costar Susie Stenberg told TMZ that Denise was homeless and living in her car before she tragically died and contacted her the night before to tell her she loved her .

“Denise was the most loving and loyal person,” she told the publication.

San Diego police have opened an investigation.

Denise starred on the Vh1 show in 2011 as one of three couples on the show which followed the lives of extreme sports athletes and their partners.

The show aired 10 episodes in its first and only season.

At the time, she was dating professional skateboarder Pierre-Luc Gagnon.

She is survived by her son, Leo Wolf, whom she shares with Pierre-Luc.

In an Instagram post, Denise paid tribute to her young son.

She wrote in the caption of the photo of him: “To my Lion Wolf, you are the reason the sun shines in the sky, why the moon shines, is full and the stars twinkle.

“Leo, you are the reason the world is good baby and magical. Thank you for being my son my little one! Love of my life, no one compares to you.”

According to her Instagram profile, Denise was recently competing to become a cover model for Ink magazine.

“Please don’t forget to keep voting for me on the Inked website as the next cover girl,” the model’s Instagram account reads.

In addition to photos of her son, Denise has frequently posted pictures of her body art.

In an interview with the magazine, the model said, “I love being a mum! I have a beautiful 8 year old son named Leo Wolf, boys are king and he is the light of my life!”

“We wrestle, I do my Russian wrestler accent and my body slams the little mouse on the bed! Leo has made life better and being his mum is a gift!”

Denise also explained that if she won the cover model prize of $25,000, she would use it to “build a foundation to reconnect with my son.”

“Money would help bring stability in life to bring us together,” she said.

Denise was 44 years old.
