The reason ‘Teen Mom’ alum Ryan Edwards was arrested earlier this week was because he texted his wife, Mackenzie, who had a restraining order against him that prohibited any communication .
According to legal documents obtained by Us Weekly on Thursday, the 35-year-old sent multiple messages to Mackenzie after he was initially ordered to stop contacting her.
“My god I don’t have (sic) to live my life without you! Sorry!” he reportedly wrote on February 19.
Four days later, he allegedly texted again, “For what it’s worth, I’m sorry and I miss you.”
According to the outlet, court documents noted that “Ms. Edwards did not respond to any messages from Mr. Edwards.
Mackenzie had filed the protective order last month after Ryan took to social media to report Mackenzie for allegedly cheating on him and to share an X-rated photo of her.

She said during a fight in January that he “opened (a) pocket knife, put it in my back like he was going to kill me. It was in front of kids. I tried to leave, he broke my phone, took my car keys.
The mother-of-two also claimed that Ryan would hold her by the neck and even “throw minty nicotine” in her eyes during an argument.
Ryan was first arrested for harassing Mackenzie on February 10. He was also arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and breach of a protective order.
Just weeks after Ryan’s release, he was arrested again for harassing his wife, who filed for divorce and was granted a restraining order against him on February 28.
After less than 24 hours in jail, the former “16 & Pregnant” star was released again after being held on $50,000 bond, according to The US Sun.
Ryan, who is also the father of 14-year-old son Bentley with Maci Bookout, is due in court on March 6.
