Prince Harry and Meghan Markle get kicked out of their UK home
The Duke of Sussex will take part in a new interview with author Gabor Mate on Saturday evening (March 4) for readers of Spare. It comes after King Charles III asked Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to ‘leave’ their UK residence and reportedly planned to gift the keys to the Duke of York instead.
Royal experts believe Harry may have more ‘ammunition’ and could reveal more bombshells during the interview, and that the prince has ‘nothing to lose’ after the eviction from Frogmore Cottage.
Sources said the couple were “not fighting” the decision as they would arrange to have their remaining belongings shipped from the 10-bedroom royal residence in California.
However, the Duke of York is said to have been ‘resisting’ calls for downsizing at the Royal Lodge in Windsor, where he has lived for more than 20 years and shared with his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson.
A friend of the Duchess of Sussex was quoted as saying The sunwho first reported the claims, that the Sussexes were “stunned” by the development, saying: “It all seems very final and like a cruel punishment.
Frogmore’s decision shows King Charles making a ‘clean break’ with Harry and Meghan, says royal commentator
A royal expert has said King Charles’ removal of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex from their UK residence marks a turning point in how the monarch will treat the couple in the future.
Royal commentator and celebrity manager Mayah Riaz said The Independent that the decision to ‘evict’ Harry and Meghan from Frogmore ‘shows that King Charles is making a clean break’ with the couple.
She added that, given the timing of the news, “one can only assume that this is a response (from Charles) to Sparewithout giving a verbal response to the public”.
Riaz said previous reports suggested Andrew had tried to make a “return” to public life, but leaving Royal Lodge would show that “it is no longer possible for him”.
She also suggested that since the death of Queen Elizabeth II, Andrew is now ‘unable to secure the privileges of his brother’s favorite child, the King’.

‘Impossible’ Harry and Meghan’s Frogmore Cottage eviction wasn’t linked to Spare, royal expert says
A royal expert says it’s ‘impossible’ to think the King’s decision to ask Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to leave Frogmore Cottage isn’t a reaction to his son’s explosive memoir, Spare.
RS Locke recounts The Independent that the decision is “transparently punitive” as it comes after Harry aired his grievances with the Royal Family in his book, which was published in January.
