Much like her character Wednesday Addams, Jenna Ortega grew extremely fond of her on-screen Nevermore Academy roommate Emma Myers while filming their hit Netflix series in the middle of Romania from September 2021 to March 2022.
‘She’s a darling. She’s a real person,’ the 20-year-old Cali native said on Monday’s episode of Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard and Monica Padman.
“We get along so naturally. I’m so easily at ease with her. I used to wake up every day in Romania and before I was even conscious I was making voice memos and singing to her a new song every day, talking about how beautiful and beautiful she is and how she was going to have the best day of her life.I never had that longing or craving for anyone else.
Jenna – who admitted to changing lines and not being professional on set – said she didn’t think she had ever been “so protective of someone” before meeting the 20-year-old Florida native, who plays bubbly werewolf Enid Sinclair.
“I think about her all the time. I just want to make sure she’s okay and okay,’ Ortega added.
For his deadpan performance, the former Disney Channel star received Golden Globe Award and Screen Actors Guild Award nominations.

“And also being so vulnerable with someone and having to get to know someone well and have someone see you for all that you are… My brain knows I don’t need to think about it right now “, explained Ortega.
“I hate being googoogaga for a boy. I think it’s secretly about pride. It’s a problem with a lot of female characters, a lot of them are geared towards guys or what they express or express is based on one guy’s position and one guy’s story.
