She announced her pregnancy at 48 just a few days ago.
And Da Brat’s baby bump made its red carpet debut at the premiere of Creed III in Atlanta, Georgia on Thursday.
The rapper, 48, beamed with delight as she posed with wife Jesseca Dupart, 41, on the red carpet, where they both wore camouflage green jackets.
Da Brat tenderly placed a hand over her growing bump as she posed for the camera, close to her partner.
She wore a scarf in her braided hair, gold earrings and a tiger print top. Full lashes, lipstick and a touch of blush amplified her naturally stunning features.
As for his wife, Jesseca was the epitome of cool in olive green pants buttoned down the leg, fitted black top and Chanel clutch.
She worked the pouf ponytail look with white hoop earrings.
The expectant parents were the picture of happiness enjoying a night out, shortly after revealing their growing family.
The rapper – who has been married to Jesseca since last year, shared her pregnancy joy with People, where she discussed her IVF journey and heartbreaking miscarriage for the first time.
Da Brat – real name Shawntae Harris-Dupart said: ‘I never thought I was going to have kids. I just thought it wasn’t in the cards for me. I had a great career, a full life. I felt like because I hadn’t gotten pregnant sooner, it just wasn’t going to happen for me.
After meeting mother-of-three Harris-Dupart, her outlook changed and she said, “I started to see life so differently.” I was like, I want a little me with you. Something special from both of us that we can share, nurture and love unconditionally.
Da Brat is now 18 weeks pregnant, with the couple using Harris-Dupart’s eggs and an anonymous sperm donor – who she called an “eager entrepreneur” – to conceive.
The rapper had to undergo surgery to remove fibroids and polyps ahead of the embryo transfer, while Harris-Dupart suffered “major” health complications during her egg retrieval.
Da Brat also revealed that she suffered a devastating miscarriage, saying, “I’ve never been so excited about something I didn’t even know I wanted. I fell in love with the idea and then everything was ripped from me, but fortunately we still had a few of her eggs.
The musician said she felt “excited and exhausted” during her second trimester, adding that she had no food cravings or nausea yet.
Da Brat and Dupart-Harris went public with their relationship in March 2021 when the famous rapper came out as a lesbian in her mid-40s.
Da Brat admitted she was terrified that Dupart would see her “imperfections” at the start of the relationship.
βAt first, I was hiding behind furniture when she was talking to me,β the Chicago native said. “I would cover my face when I laughed.”
And even though Da Brat was shy, Jesseca found his quirks utterly charming.
“It was the cutest thing ever,” she said in the couple’s confessional.
