Cheryl Burke thinks it’s “incredible” that her ex-husband, Matthew Lawrence, wants kids with his new girlfriend, Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas.
The former “Dancing With the Stars” pro noted on Thursday’s episode of “The Most Dramatic Podcast Ever Starring Chris Harrison” that she wasn’t “surprised” by the revelation because the actor “always wanted” to be a father.
“I really, really hope he can have a kid with Chili,” she said, “wish him luck.”
Burke, 38, remembers having his own “conversations” with Lawrence, 43, about starting a family and freezing his eggs.
“He comes from a big family,” she explained. “But I always said, ‘As long as I had to put my body in a dance costume, thinking about being pregnant is probably not something I can talk about right now. “”
The choreographer and the “Mrs. The ‘Doubtfire’ star was married from 2019 to 2022, and he made his romance with Chilli, 52, official on Instagram in January.
The singer’s TLC rep confirmed their relationship at the time, saying the longtime pals’ friendship took a turn in November 2022.
Burke apparently reacted to the news with a pointed Instagram post at the time.
“That was quick,” the ‘Dance Moms’ star wrote.
Two months later, Lawrence gushed on “Entertainment Tonight” about his “incredible” bond with Chilli, saying it was unlike anything he had “experienced” before.

“My life is in full bloom right now,” the “Boy Meets World” alum said on March 3, calling kids their “game plan.”
When he and Burke were together, the duo also spoke publicly about their family plans.
In 2020, Lawrence told Us Weekly that things were “on pause” amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
“When it starts to clear up, I think we will have a better view or a better understanding,” he explained at the time.
Burke told Tamron Hall the following year that she considered freezing her eggs, but felt “really nervous” about the next steps.
