Cardi B surrendered in style to court-ordered community service on Friday after pleading guilty to misdemeanor charges in September for a fight at a strip club in 2018.
The rapper, 30, appeared in court last month after failing to serve 15 days of community service as part of her plea deal, but a judge later extended the deadline until March 1.
‘My brains are burning from waking up early, from community service and then from the studio…but I committed the crime ‘I have only myself to blame” tweeted Cardi, who took a mirror selfie moments before leaving for work.
The WAP hitmaker was decked out in designer merchandise, including a $2,850 cropped beige bomber jacket over a black shirt and beige heeled boots.
She carried a Balenciaga Yellow Tape hourglass bag, which can cost up to $3,000.
The fashionista tucked her legs into white sweatpants and rocked long silver nails.
Cardi let her silky brown hair flow beneath a black Chanel beanie as she took a selfie in front of a mirror on the floor.
There were rows of other expensive shoes at her feet while unopened boxes of clothes, candles and jewelry were displayed on and around the coffee table behind her.
Cardi launched her community service pledge shortly after her Jan. 17 appearance in Queens Criminal Court, where she received an extension on March 1.
On January 20, she revealed on Twitter that she was already on her “second day” and urged her followers to “obey the law”.
The mother-of-two also adorned herself with designer hair, makeup and attire in a similar post on Wednesday.
The Bodak Yellow hitmaker resolved the August 2018 battery case in September last year by pleading guilty to two misdemeanor charges while ten other charges, including two felonies, were dismissed.
Two co-defendants also pleaded guilty.
Prosecutors say Cardi B and her entourage targeted employees of the Angels Strip Club in Flushing, Queens, over an apparent personal conflict.
She allegedly told eight people, including Tawana Jackson-Morel and Jeffrey Bush, to assault sisters Baddie Gi and Jade.
In 2019, Cardi B rejected a plea deal that would have landed her on parole. Prosecutors then presented the case to a grand jury and obtained an indictment including both counts.
At sentencing, prosecutors described the melee saying, “Victims allegedly had glass bottles thrown at them, liquor thrown in their faces and a woman’s head thrown into the bar.”
After receiving her light sentence for the September incident, the rapper traveled to Manhattan’s Little Italy where she celebrated the decision.
Speaking to reporters as she left the court, Cardi said, “I feel like I look: fine.”
The plea deal also stipulated that Cardi provide the court with a DNA sample and barred her from contacting victims in the case for three years.
Her statement following the sentence reads in full: “As a mother, this is a practice that I try to instill in my children, but the example starts with me.
“I’ve made bad decisions in my past that I’m not afraid to face and own up to. Those moments don’t define me and they don’t reflect who I am now.
“I can’t wait to get through this with my family and friends and get back to what I love the most: music and my fans.”
In a brief statement, her attorney Drew Findling told DailyMail.com: “Personally and professionally, Cardi is dedicated to community service and charitable endeavors.” She therefore appreciates that the court gives her until March 1 to complete her community service commitment in Queens, New York.
Cardi has been busy for the past few weeks as she stormed into Grammy season by hitting the star-studded red carpet and presenting the award for Best Rap Album.
She also attended a glamorous pre-GRAMMY gala with hubby Offset, where they held a steamy display for photographers and celebrated Valentine’s Day together.
She and rapper Migos, 31, have been married since 2017 and share two children: daughter Kulture, four, and son Wave, one.
Cardi gave fans a glimpse of their lavish Valentine’s Day celebration in snapshots shared to Instagram. Going out of his way, Offset gifted Cardi with an extravagant display of heart-shaped foil balloons, an abundance of flowers inside their sprawling Georgian estate, as well as a giant bear shape made out of roses.
