Britney Spears has sparked concern online after she uploaded a bizarre clip to Instagram on Tuesday, where she used an Australian accent to show off some dresses she received.
At one point, the 41-year-old singer abruptly stops dancing in her bedroom to tell fans not to contact the police if she decides to delete her Instagram in the future.
“So guys, I just want you to know that if I shut down my Instagram, don’t call the cops,” she tells the camera.
Britney has a reputation for deactivating and reactivating her social media pages, including her Twitter, which has raised concerns about her wellbeing in the past.
The post comes shortly after Britney hit back at claims relatives staged a failed intervention over fears she ‘could die’ amid alleged mental health struggles.
She said that was completely untrue and that she was considering quitting Instagram because “obviously there are a lot of people who don’t wish me well.”
Hitmaker Lucky kicked off Tuesday’s upload by revealing to her 41.7 million followers that she’s honed her clothing design skills.
She provided a brief explanation while using a fake accent that appeared to be a mixture of Australian and British dialects.
‘Okay, good news. Ok, so last week guys I made a dress. I was really proud. (It had) a diamond panel, a zipper in the back (and) a girlfriend helped me sew it,” she began.
Britney filmed the clip inside a bedroom, which had various objects and pillows tossed on the bed and what appeared to be a pile of folded clothes on the floor.
The performer was dressed in a yellow crop top with puff sleeves and white shorts and her blonde hair was worn and wavy.
Britney excitedly revealed that she was recently sent a dress that she “didn’t have to make myself”, although she didn’t reveal the clothing company.
It was a sheer pink dress covered in crystals, which she held to her body for the camera to see.
I can not believe it. I’m just saying! Hey now, so proud! I didn’t even have to do it myself,” she said. ‘Thank you to the company for sending me this dress. THANKS.’

Still with the dress in hand, Britney began lifting it up and down before performing a strange dance with it draped against her.
It was directly after this clip that Britney took the time to tell fans to avoid contacting authorities regarding her Instagram. Despite the seriousness of the matter, she continued to hold her gifted dress in front of her.
She also told them “Never be a Russian rib”, but did not explain what that means.
Britney misses the frame and quickly returns to the camera to disappear again.
She eventually returns with another dress she received from the Unnamed Company.
This dress was a strapless nude number with fringe detailing.
Britney’s video ends with her running past the camera wearing her original pink dress as she shouts, “Never be a rollercoaster!!!”
In the post’s caption, Britney encouraged her fan base to “stay humble” and also appeared to lash out at her estranged parents.
‘Stay humble out there, y’all!!! Hey mom and dad I’m a star ⭐️ now did you hear??? Keep taking a look,” she wrote.
A report surfaced last week from TMZ that claimed the singer’s friends and family staged a failed intervention due to “fears she was dying” amid alleged mental health issues.
Sources close to Britney’s family say they were alarmed by her ‘erratic’ and ‘volatile’ behavior due to taking medication that ‘excited’ her and made her ‘fly away’.
Several friends rented a house in Los Angeles for a few months – unbeknownst to Spears – to stage an intervention, with one source saying, “I’m afraid she’s dying.”
After a manic episode at a Los Angeles restaurant last month, the Circus singer reportedly became “combative and chaotic.”
The operation was due to take place at her home last Tuesday, with her husband, manager, doctors and a caseworker, as she was to receive medical treatment and psychological counseling for two months.
However, Spears became “somewhat aware” of the plan and the intervention was canceled altogether.
A source added: “Britney is acting more and more erratically and those around her are increasingly concerned.” She is often up all night, sleeps during (the) day and has a lot of anger.
Another source said: “Everyone was hoping Britney could be convinced to seek treatment before things got worse, but they knew it wouldn’t be easy.”
The insider explained that “she’s been through a lot and been more and more combative” and said that Asghari “is as supportive as possible.”
Spears hit out at claims that she may die in an Instagram post, adding that she may have to stop posting on social media.
“It hurts my stomach that it’s even legal for people to make up stories that I almost died…
‘I mean at some point enough is enough!!! I’m probably going to have to stop posting on Instagram because even though I like doing it, there are obviously a lot of people who don’t mean me well!!!’
She went on to say, “Honestly, I’m not at all surprised…Again, I’m trying my best!!! Again, conservatorship has been over for almost a year…No people, it’s not not 2007… it’s 2023 and I’m making my first homemade lasagna at home!!!
‘I finally managed to make my fireplace work in my living room!!! As my husband says best: don’t believe everything you read!!! All that love back home!!!’
In another Instagram post, Spears again blasted the reports and denied having a “management team” or “doctors.”
Captioning an erratic video message, she wrote: “This week in the news it was said that I almost died and I have a manager and ‘doctors’!!! I have no management team and I will never have one again in my life!!!I don’t have “doctors”!!!
‘I take Prozac for depression and that’s about it!!! I am an extremely boring person!!!’
