Elvis Cinematographer Mandy Walker won Best Picture at the 37th Annual ASC Awards, held at the Beverly Hilton tonight. She is the first woman to win the CSA Marquee Trophy.

The ASC winner for theatrical feature has won the Oscar almost half the time – 17 times in 36 years. Greig Fraser won ASC’s top prize last year for Duneson his way to winning the Oscar for cinema.
Walker will compete for the Best Cinematography Oscar on March 12 against fellow CSA nominee Darius Khondji (bardo) and Roger Deakins (Empire of Light), with James Friend (In the west, nothing is new) and Florian Hoffmeister (Warehouse).
The documentary feature trophy went to Ben Bernhard and Riju Das for HBO everything that breathes, and Sturla Brandth Grøvlen won the Spotlight Award for DCM Film’s sailor of war.
FX’s Freshman Drama The old man picked up two wins tonight: Jules O’Loughlin in the One-Hour Commercial Television category and Sean Porter for Pilot, Limited Series or TV Movie.
HBO’s Carl Herse barry won for the episode of a half-hour series.
Gina Prince-Bythewood presented the NCP Board of Governors Awards to Fences Viola Davis, Oscar winner and four-time nominee, and Alejandro G. Iñárritu presented their bardo Khondji, Oscar nominee, who received the international award.
Five-time Emmy nominee Fred Murphy (The good wife, in treatment) accepted the Career Achievement in Television Award, presented by Jake Gyllenhaal. Charlie Lieberman (Heroes, group of five ) received the Presidents Television Award. The Curtis Clark Technical Award went to two-time Emmy winner Sam Nicholson (The Walking Dead, Grey’s Anatomy).
Stephen Goldblatt, twice nominated for the Oscars for cinema (Help, the prince of the tides) received the Lifetime Achievement Award, presented by Ugly Oscar-winning actress Octavia Spencer.
TCM’s Ben Mankiewicz celebrated his sixth time as host of the ASC Awards, which honor the best films of the year across film, documentary and television.
