Ali Wong Reunites With Ex Justin Hakuta Almost A Year After Divorce Announcement

Ali Wong and ex-husband Justin Hakuta appeared to be getting cozy over the weekend, spending time together in two California cities on Saturday.

The couple, who announced they were divorcing in April 2022, were first spotted taking a morning stroll together in San Francisco.

Ali, 40, who briefly dated fellow comedian Bill Hader, looked understated in a blue puffy jacket, two-tone blue sweater, blue scarf and red joggers.

The comedian wore red sneakers and covered his long dark locks with a large sun hat.

She also wore large black sunglasses to shield her eyes from the morning sun.

Justin, 40, an entrepreneur, kept it casual in a pair of black Nike joggers, a teal jacket and a black toque.

The businessman was spotted wearing his wedding ring.

Later that day, the pair were seen playing Pickle ball with friends, and the Big Mouth voice star was heard calling Justin “Babe” after a few well-played shots.

Ali stripped off a few layers during the game, showing off his athletic skills in a white Amour t-shirt, black joggers and white New Balance sneakers.

Justin, kept it simple in a green long sleeve t-shirt and sported a ponytail hairstyle.

The couple, who are fathers to seven-year-old Mari and five-year-old Nikki, then traveled together about an hour from Santa Rosa, where Ali performed his stand-up show at the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts.

Witnesses say Justin helped carry his bag into the room.

The couple first met at a friend’s wedding reception in 2010 and married in San Francisco in 2014.

In her Baby Cobra special on Netflix, Ali explained that when she learned Justin was a Harvard student and a Fulbright scholar, she played hard to get.

‘I was like, “Oh, my God, I’m going to trap his a–. I’m going to trap his a–!” And I tricked her a– initially by not kissing her until the fifth date, which is a very unusual decision on my part. But I did it on purpose, because I knew it was a trap.

In her book, Dear Girls: Intimate Tales Untold Secrets and Advice for Living Your Best Life, Ali credited the prenup she signed before walking down the aisle as one of the secrets to her success.

“My dad always praised ‘the gift of fear,'” she explained. “And that prenup scared me. In the end, being forced to sign that prenup was the one of the greatest things that have ever happened to me and my career.

Towards the end of their marriage, Ali joked about being in “monogamy prison” on his Netflix special Don Wong.

After splitting last April, Ali dated actor Bill Hader for a few months. The former Saturday Night Live cast member had recently ended his relationship with Anna Kendrick.

The two were never seen together and the relationship was over before it became public. Neither Bill nor Ali has commented on this.

While the Paper Girls actress may joke about her private life in her comedy routine, she keeps her personal life private on social media.

Ali can next be seen in Netflix’s Beef starring Joseph Lee in a dramedy about two people who let road rage consume their lives. The film debuts April 6.
